Zooma Capricorne 2002/12/13

Interview: Part one of the talk we had with Elie RAJAONARISON.

It's a great moment on Zooma Capricorne. We met Elie RAJAONARISON (one of the most famous malagasy current writer) the 6th December 2002 at the INALCO (French Institute for Foreign Languages) in Paris, on his way to go back home after a trip in the U.S.A. Elie RAJAONARISON is both a writer and a poet, and is a virulent defender of the malagasy culture. In this part, he explains why he "doesn't want to beg a pardon while speaking in malagasy towards some foreigners among malagasy attenders", but he gives also democratic lessons to malagasy people about their "tribalism". Elie RAJAONARISON is also a Councilor at the Antananarivo Town Commitee and a reserve officer of the malagasy army.
