Korea - Land of the Morning Calm: Kim So-Hui's Pansori Performances

Kim So-Hui (1917-1995) began recording and performing while still a teenager and went on to become one of the great pansori performers of the 20th century. In 1964 she was named Holder of the pansori music form, at that time one of only six people to be given this honour. This presentation includes excerpts from the pansori works Heungboga, Chunhyangga, and Shimchongga.
